‘Mr. Robot’ Renewed For Season 4

As Sam Esmail’s Mr. Robot comes to the shocking conclusion (no spoilers here!) of its 3rd season, USA Network has announced the series will be back for a 4th Season next year.

The Golden Globe award-winning series follows Elliot Alderson (Rami Malek), a cyber-security engineer who became involved in the underground hacker group fsociety after being recruited by their mysterious leader (Christian Slater). Following the events of fsociety’s five/nine hack on the multi-national company Evil Corp, the series continues to explore the consequences of the attack as well as the illusion of control.

The show also stars Portia Doubleday, Carly Chaikin, Martin Wallström, Grace Gummer, Michael Cristofer, Bobby Cannavale and BD Wong. Creator Sam Esmail exec produces along with Steve Golin and Chad Hamilton. Kyle Bradstreet and Joseph E. Iberti serve as co-executive producers.

The series has won numerous awards since it started, and it looks like that trend may continue, with Christian Slater being nominated in the Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role category for the latest Golden Globes. This is the 2nd time Slater has been nominated in the category, which he won last time around. Previously, Rami Malek has picked up the Emmy for Leading Actor, and Mac Quayle won the Emmy for Music Composition. Along with a Golden Globe for Best Television Drama, the show has also picked up a Peabody Award, TCA Award for Program of the Year, and Critics’ Choice Award for Best Drama Series amongst many others.

Mr. Robot‘ premieres On Amazon Prime in the UK with a second airing on broadcast tv on Universal Channel UK.
