Netflix has just released a new trailer and key art for their epic new sci-fi drama Altered Carbon, which comes to the streaming service from Friday, 2nd February 2018, and it looks even more phenomenal than the last one!

Based on the classic cyberpunk noir novel by Richard K. Morgan, ‘Altered Carbon’ is an intriguing story of murder, love, sex, and betrayal, set more than 300 years in the future. Society has been transformed by new technology: consciousness can be digitized; human bodies are interchangeable; death is no longer permanent… No BODY Lives Forever…

The series comes from creator and executive producer Laeta Kalogridis, and stars Joel Kinnaman (‘Suicide Squad’, ‘The Killing’) as Takeshi Kovacs, the lone surviving soldier in a group of elite interstellar warriors who were defeated in an uprising against the new world order. His mind was imprisoned, “on ice”, for centuries until Laurens Bancroft (James Purefoy – ‘Hap and Leonard’, ‘The Following’), an impossibly wealthy, long-lived man, offers Kovacs the chance to live again. In exchange, Kovacs has to solve a murder… that of Bancroft himself.

Martha Higareda (‘Street Kings’), Renee Elise Goldsberry (‘The Good Wife’), Will Yun Lee (‘The Wolverine’) and Dichen Lachman (‘The Last Ship’, ‘Agents Of Shield’, ‘Dollhouse’) also star.

Altered Carbon‘ comes to Netflix UK on Friday, 2nd February 2018, and you can watch it by going to netflix.com/alteredcarbon.

They also release a number of new posters for the show, which you can see below:
