Netflix gives you another reason to be ‘Happy!‘, as it picks up the wonderfully bonkers Syfy series to air in the UK this April!
‘Happy!’ stars Christopher Meloni (‘Law & Order: SVU’, ‘True Blood’) as Nick Sax, a corrupt, intoxicated ex-cop turned hit-man, who is adrift in a stinking twilight world of casual murder, soulless sex, eczema, and betrayal. With a hit gone wrong, a bullet in his side, the cops and the mob on his tail, and a monstrous child killer in a Santa suit on the loose, Nick and his world are changed forever… by a tiny, relentlessly positive, imaginary, blue horse called Happy! Patton Oswalt (‘The Goldbergs’, ‘Agents Of SHIELD’) voices Happy, the horse.
The show is based on a comic book from the wonderfully twisted mind of Grant Morrison and artist Darick Robertson. For those of you that don’t know Morrison’s work, he’s had runs on DC Comics’ Animal Man, All-Star Superman, JLA, 2000 AD and created The Invisibles for Vertigo. He also had a very well received run on the Batman & Robin books, which popularised the character of Damian Wayne, son of Batman/Bruce Wayne, and saw Dick Grayson don the cowl of the Bat.
‘Happy!‘ comes to Netflix UK from Thursday, 26th April 2018.
