Netflix has dropped a trailer and a May release date for upcoming drama ‘Safe‘ from author and creator of Sky One’s ‘The Five’, Harlan Coben. The show stars ‘Dexter’s’ Michael C. Hall (complete with British accent!) as a father desperate to find his missing daughter.
Tom’s (Hall) wife died a year ago and he’s bringing up his two daughters, living in a beautiful gated community, with close friends nearby and a blossoming new relationship. But when his eldest daughter disappears in mysterious circumstances he realises that in fact he knows nothing about the people closest to him – dark secrets about the people he loves and the place where he lives. Partners, children, lovers, parents, and friends – does anyone really know the people they love?
The series also stars Amanda Abbington (‘Sherlock’), Marc Warren (‘Mad Dogs’, ‘Hustle’, ‘The Good Wife’), Audrey Fleurot (‘Spiral’), and Hannah Arterton (‘The Five’).
The show comes from Harlan Coben, the award-winning American novelist, and creator of ‘The Five’ which aired on Sky One in 2016. The series is written by ‘The Five’ screenwriter Danny Brocklehurst. Brocklehurst and Coben exec produce alongside Hall, with Nicola Shindler and Richard Fee for Red Production Company.
‘Safe‘ comes to Netflix in the UK and worldwide on Thursday, 10th May 2018.
