Netflix Renews ‘Santa Clarita Diet’ For Season 3
Drew Barrymore’s zombie horror-comedy ‘Santa Clarita Diet‘ will be back for a 3rd Season Netflix has announced.
The show stars Barrymore and Timothy Olyphant as husband and wife realtor team Joel and Sheila. They are leading vaguely discontented lives in the L.A. suburb of Santa Clarita with their teenage daughter Abby (Liv Hewson). All is well until Sheila goes through a “dramatic change”, i.e. becomes a zombie, sending their lives down a road of death and destruction… but in a good way.
Season 2 of the show, which launched on Netflix in March, saw the Hammonds trying to adapt to Sheila’s now-advanced undead state… Even though she’s desperately working to hold on to her suburban lifestyle and not be defined as just another monster. Unfortunately, whilst the family has become markedly better at murder, the number of missing people in Santa Clarita is starting to pile up and it’s no longer going unnoticed.
But despite her hunger for human flesh, his undead wife’s killer urges and her mom’s new lust for life (and taking it), Sheila, Joel and Abby Hammond are fineeee. No, really. They are all A-OK. These Santa Clarita staples are just peachy… We repeat. Everyone. Is. Fine.
Seasons 1 & 2 of ‘Santa Clarita Diet‘ can be streamed on Netflix right now. Season 3 is due to land in 2019.
