Jonny Lee Miller and Lucy Liu return as the world’s best-known crime-solving duo in ‘Elementary‘ Season 6 which gets its UK premiere in May on Sky Living.
The show stars Miller as detective Sherlock Holmes and Liu as Dr Joan Watson in a modern-day retelling of the crime-solving duo who crack the NYPD’s most impossible cases. Initially, sober companion and client, Watson and Holmes’ relationship evolved into a symbiotic professional investigative partnership.
If you remember the Season 5 finale, we saw Sherlock experiencing increasing spates of memory loss and hallucinations, which leads him to undergoes an MRI in a closing scene cliffhanger. As we head into this new season, Holmes is confronted with the medical diagnosis that will threaten both his career and his sobriety.
Whilst reeling from this news, he meets Michael, (Desmond Harrington – Detective Quinn in ‘Dexter’). Michael seems to credit Sherlock for helping him conquer his own addiction, and is keen to repay the favour. Meanwhile, a new case surfaces when a reformed party girl hires Holmes and Watson to find her partner, who has gone missing since a sex tape has emerged online.
