US network NBC has just released trailers for 3 of its upcoming shows for next season including ‘Manifest’, which stars ‘Once Upon A Time’s’ Josh Dallas, medical drama ‘New Amsterdam’ featuring ‘The Blacklist’ star Ryan Eggold, and the comedy ‘I Feel Bad’.

Manifest, follows the passengers of Montego Air Flight 828. Whilst it wasn’t the smoothest of flights, everyone lands happily without incident. Given that would make a very boring tv series, there is obviously something else going on. When the passengers and crew disembark, they discover, what has only been a few hours for them in the air, has been 5 years for the people on the ground. Friends, families and colleagues all believe the plane went down after it disappeared from radar, and have grieved and moved on. As their new realities become clear, a deeper mystery unfolds and some of the returned passengers soon realize they may be meant for something greater than they ever thought possible.

The show stars Josh Dallas (‘Once Upon A Time’), Melissa Roxburgh (‘Valor’, ‘Star Trek Beyond’), Athena Karkanis (‘Zoo’, ‘Suits’), J.R. Ramirez (‘Jessica Jones’, ‘Arrow’), Luna Blaise (‘Fresh Off the Boat’), Parveen Kaur (‘Beyond’, ‘Saving Hope’) and Jack Messina. The series is created by Jeff Rake (‘The Mysteries of Laura’, ‘The Tomorrow People’) who also exec produces with Hollywood director Robert Zemeckis.

New Amsterdam is written by David Schulner (‘Emerald City’, ‘Do No Harm’, ‘The Event’) and based on the memoir ‘Twelve Patients: Life and Death at Bellevue Hospital’ by the former medical director at NYC’s Bellevue Hospital, Dr Eric Manheimer.

Eggold plays Max Hollander, a man driven to the point of exhausting himself and everyone around him including his wife, who recently separated from him. He is a doctor specialising in internal medicine and has been hired as Medical Director at the hospital. He is determined to do whatever it takes to restore to the place to its former glory or get kicked out trying.

The rest of the cast also has some familiar faces in it. Former ‘Doctor Who’ and ‘Sense8’ star Freema Agyeman is set to play the hospital’s lead physician, Dr Hana Sharpe, although she has spent more time recently making tv appearances to “big up” the hospital than actually practised medicine. She’s joined by another ‘Sense8’ alumnus Anupam Kher (‘The Big Sick’), who is playing Dr Anil Kapoor. He’s the oldest doctor in the hospital, and knows things need to change there, but doesn’t feel he needs to change with them. Janet Montgomery (‘This Is Us’, ‘Salem’) takes the female lead as Dr Laura Bloom, an attending ER doctor who is spreading herself too thin by moonlighting to make more money.

I Feel Bad

In I Feel Bad we meet Emet – the perfect mom, boss, wife, friend and daughter. OK, she’s not perfect. In fact, she’s just figuring it out like the rest of us. Sure, she feels bad when she has a sexy dream about someone other than her husband, or when she pretends not to know her kids when they misbehave in public, or when she uses her staff to help solve personal problems. But that’s OK, right? Nobody can have it all and do it perfectly.

The show stars Sarayu Blue (‘No Tomorrow’, ‘NCIS: Los Angeles’), Paul Adelstein (‘Prison Break’), Aisling Bea (‘Hard Sun’, ‘The Fall’), Zach Cherry (‘You’), Johnny Pemberton (‘Superstore’), and James Buckley (‘The Inbetweeners’). The series is written by Aseem Batra (‘The Cleveland Show’, ‘Scrubs’) who exec produces with Amy Poehler, Dave Becky, Julie Anne Robinson, and Josh Maurer.

These are all due to air in the US on NBC in the Autumn, so none of them have UK broadcasters yet. We’ll let you know when we hear more news.
