‘Atlanta’ Renewed For A 3rd Season

In news that should come as no surprise to anyone, US network FX has renewed Donald Glover’s Golden Globe, WGA, TCA, Critics’ Choice and Emmy-winning series Atlanta for Season 3.

Starring and created by Donald Glover, Atlanta revolves around Earnest “Earn” Marks (Glover – ‘Community’, ‘The Martian’), a loner who returns to his hometown of Atlanta after dropping out of Princeton. Upon his arrival, he discovers his cousin “Alfred Miles” (Brian Tyree Henry – ‘Boardwalk Empire’) has become Atlanta’s hottest new rap act.

“Atlanta is phenomenal – achieving and exceeding what few television series have done,” commented co-president of original programming for FX Networks and FX Productions Nick Grad.

Atlanta Robbin’ Season (aka Season 2), arrives on Fox UK later this month and sees the two cousins work through the Atlanta music scene in order to better their lives and the lives of their families. Earn Marks is a young manager trying to get his cousin’s career off the ground. Alfred Miles is a new hot rapper trying to understand the line between real life and street life. Darius (Lakeith Lee Stanfield – ‘Get Out’, ‘Death Note’) is Alfred’s right-hand man and visionary. Van (Zazie Beetz – ‘Easy’, ‘Deadpool 2’) is Earn’s best friend and the mother of Earn’s daughter.

Donald Glover serves as Executive Producer, along with Paul Simms, Dianne McGunigle and Stephen Glover. Atlanta is produced by FX Productions.

Atlanta Season 2: Robbin’ Season‘ will premiere with a double bill on FOX UK from Sunday, 17th June 2018 at 10pm.
