The CW has dropped the first trailer for their upcoming fantasy adventure series ‘The Outpost‘, which is due to arrive on Syfy UK later this year.
Years after her entire village is destroyed by a gang of brutal mercenaries, Talon (Jessica Green – ‘Ash vs Evil Dead’, ‘Lightning Point’) travels to a lawless fortress on the edge of the civilised world, as she tracks the killers of her family. On her journey to this outpost, Talon discovers she possesses a mysterious supernatural power that she must learn to control in order to save herself and defend the world against a fanatical religious dictator.
Joining Green in the cast are Jake Stormoen (‘Extinct’), Imogen Waterhouse (‘Nocturnal Animals’) Andrew Howard (‘Hatfields and McCoys’, ‘Hell on Wheels’), Anand Desai-Barochia (‘Emmerdale’, ‘Lake Mead’) and Robyn Malcolm (‘Top of the Lake’, ‘Hostiles’).
The 10 episode hour-long series comes from Dean Devlin’s Electric Entertainment and Arrowstorm Entertainment and is written by Arrowstorm’s Jason Faller and Kynan Griffin (‘Mythica’, ‘Saga’). Dean Devlin was co-writer of the original ‘Stargate’, and exec produced ‘The Librarians’ and ‘Leverage’. He’s teamed up for the first time with ‘Stargate: SG1’ co-creator Jonathan Glassner to exec produce ‘The Outpost’ alongside Faller and Griffin.
‘The Outpost‘ comes to The CW in the US on July 10th 2018. Syfy UK has the rights to the show on this side of the Atlantic but hasn’t yet released an air date. We’ll let you know when we hear something.
