AHS Season 8, otherwise known as ‘American Horror Story: Apocalypse‘ will be arriving in September on Fox UK the channel has announced.
As is usual with ‘American Horror Story’, exact plot details on the new series are rather thin at the moment. We do know it will call back to Season 1, aka ‘Murder House’ and Season 3, aka ‘Coven’. We also know Jessica Lange, who appeared in the first 4 seasons of the show, will be returning this year.
Other returning cast includes Kathy Bates, Evan Peters, Adina Porter, Emma Roberts, Cheyenne Jackson, Billy Eichner, Leslie Grossman, Taissa Farmiga, Gabourey Sidibe, Lily Rabe, Frances Conroy, Billie Lourd and Stevie Nicks. They will be joined by the legend that is Joan Collins along with another new cast member, Cody Fern (‘Assassination of Gianni Versace’).
The mini-trailer (above) doesn’t give much away, but it’s thought that the unborn child show in the teaser is likely to be Michael Langdon, the antichrist offspring of Tate Langdon (Peters) and his rape victim Vivien Harmon (played by Connie Britton). It’s also likely Cody Fern will be playing the role of Michael, with Lange reprising her role as Constance Langdon, the hell spawn’s grandmother.
