‘Ant-Man’ star Paul Rudd has landed the lead… or more accurately… two lead roles, in new Netflix comedy ‘Living With Yourself‘ it has been announced.
The show sees Rudd as a man struggling with his life who undergoes a novel treatment to become a better person, and finds he’s been replaced by a new and improved version – revealing that his own worst enemy is himself. Season 1 of the comedy will consist of 8 episodes as it asks the question: do we really want to be better?
Paul Rudd is currently starring in ‘Marvel’s Ant-Man and the Wasp’ which he also co-wrote. The film has grossed $430 million at the global box office and will open in China, Japan and other markets later this month. Although Rudd has been mainly busy with films recently, he’s no stranger to the small screen having starred in ‘Parks and Recreation’, ‘Wet Hot American Summer’ and playing Phoebe’s love interest, Mike, in ‘Friends’.
‘Living With Yourself’ comes from the Emmy and Peabody Award-winner Timothy Greenberg (‘The Daily Show with Jon Stewart’), and will be directed by Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris (the Oscar-nominated ‘Little Miss Sunshine’, ‘Battle of the Sexes’). Dayton, Faris and Rudd will serve as Exec producers with Anthony Bregman and Jeff Stern for Likely Story, alongside Tony Hernandez for Jax Media, who are producing the series.
‘Living With Yourself‘ Season 1 will air on Netflix worldwide. Air date TBC, but we would expect it to land in 2019.
