Sky Releases First-Look Images & Info About ‘Tin Star’ Season 2

Sky has released a couple of “first look” images and some additional info about the upcoming 2nd Season of Tin Star, which sees Tim Roth return as the now ex-Police Chief, Jim Worth.

Season 1 of the drama followed police chief Jim Worth (Roth) who moves to peace and quiet of the remote Rocky Mountains with his beloved wife and children, as he finally feels he has found the life he was searching for. However, the tranquillity is short-lived as the arrival of huge numbers of workers from a new oil refinery leads to a wave of drugs, prostitution, organised crime, and a murder, which hits Jim hard. His obsessive quest to find the truth behind this mysterious killing drives a revelatory story about love, corruption, grief and the all-consuming nature of revenge.

Season 2 picks up after Jim’s world is left destroyed by the chaos that had followed (and his alcoholic alter ego, Jack Devlin) from the UK, leaving our unlikely hero cut off in the remote Rockies wilderness with his grieving and shell-shocked family struggling to come to terms with their ordeal. Seeking refuge from her own parents, Anna (Abigail Lawrie) is taken in by the God-fearing Nickel family, headed up by Pastor Johan (John Lynch) his wife Sarah (Anamaria Marinca) and daughter Rosa (Jenessa Grant), and hidden with the Ammonites – a religious community close to Little Big Bear. However the peaceful prairie family are harbouring secrets of their own and it’s not long before Anna is forced to seek her father’s help, as an altogether more hellish threat emerges. If Jim is to find a way to save his family, atone for his sins he must form an uneasy alliance in the battle for forgiveness…

Created by Rowan Joffe and produced by Kudos for Sky Atlantic, Christina Hendricks, Genevieve O’Reilly, John Lynch, Anamaria Marinca and Jenessa Grant complete the all-star line-up.

Tin Star Season 1 is currently available on-demand on Sky and NOW TV and will broadcast on Channel 4 later this year. The 10-episode 2nd Season is scheduled to air in Early 2019 exclusively on Sky and TV streaming service NOW TV in the UK and Ireland.
