Michael Sheen Joins ‘The Good Fight’ For Season 3

British actor Michael Sheen will be joining The Good Fight when it returns for its 3rd Season CBS has announced.

‘The Good Fight’ follows Diane Lockhart (Christine Baranski) after an enormous financial scam wipes out her savings whilst simultaneously destroying the reputation of young lawyer, and Diane’s goddaughter, Maia (Rose Leslie – Game Of Thrones). Forced out of Lockhart/Lee, they join Lucca Quinn (Cush Jumbo) at one of Chicago’s top law firms.

Sheen will play Roland Blum, a brilliant, charismatic and Machiavellian lawyer. He is a man of appetites – drugs, sex, you name it – who’s far more interested in winning than the niceties of following the law.

Sheen is an extremely well-known face on tv and film around the world. He starred in the Academy Award-nominated films ‘The Queen’, ‘Frost/Nixon’ and ‘Midnight In Paris’. He also popped up in ‘The Twilight Saga’ movies, the ‘Underworld’ franchise, and has completed filming opposite Robert Downey Jr. in ‘The Voyage of Doctor Dolittle’.

On the television side he starred as Dr. Bill Masters in 4 seasons of the acclaimed ‘Masters of Sex’, and brilliantly portrayed Kenneth Williams in ‘Kenneth Williams: Fantabulosa!’ and Tony Blair in ‘The Special Relationship’. He next appears as the fussy angel and rare book dealer Aziraphale in Amazon’s adaptation of Terry Pratchett & Neil Gaiman’s ‘Good Omens’.

As we head into Season 3 of ‘The Good Fight’, Lockhart tries to figure out whether you can resist a crazy administration without going crazy yourself, while Adrian Boseman (Delroy Lindo) and Liz Reddick-Lawrence (Audra McDonald) struggle with a new post-factual world where the lawyer who tells the best story triumphs over the lawyer with the best facts. Meanwhile, Lucca Quinn balances a new baby with a new love, and Maia Rindell finds a new Mephistopheles in Roland Blum (Michael Sheen), a Roy Cohn-like lawyer who is corruption incarnate.

Season three will also include series regulars Christine Baranski, Cush Jumbo, Rose Leslie, Audra McDonald, Sarah Steele, Michael Boatman, Nyambi Nyambi and Delroy Lindo.

The Good Fight‘ airs on More4 in the UK, and Season 3 is expected to land in Early 2019.
