Amazon Renews ‘Bosch’ For Season 6

Bosch will return for a 6th Season Amazon Prime has announced. In what has become something of a tradition for the drama, the streaming service has once again renewed it for the next season before the previous one has even aired.

Based on the best selling novels from Michael Connelly, the detective drama sees Titus Welliver (‘Sons of Anarchy’, ‘Lost’) return as an LAPD homicide detective Bosch, once again digging through the seedy underbelly of Tinseltown.

“Bosch is a customer and critical favourite and Amazon Prime members are fans of this long-running series that delivers strong storytelling, complex characters, and exceptional performances,” comments Albert Cheng, Amazon Studios co-Head of Television. “We are happy to continue to work with Fabrik [Entertainment], Michael Connelly, and the rest of the team on this artful procedural drama.”

Alongside Welliver, Jamie Hector returns as Jerry Edgar, Amy Aquino as Lt. Grace Billets, Madison Lintz as Maddie Bosch and Lance Reddick as Deputy Chief Irvin Irving.

The show was developed by Eric Overmyer (‘The Wire’, ‘The Man in the High Castle’) who returns as co-showrunner with Daniel Pyne (‘Alcatraz’). The series is produced by Amazon Studios and Fabrik Entertainment.

“I’m on the set where we are wrapping up the filming of season 5, and now this great news that we get to do it again with a 6th season,” adds author and exec producer Michael Connelly. “Can’t wait!”

Bosch‘ Season 5 doesn’t yet have a premiere date, but based on previous air dates, we’re expecting it to land around April 2019. We’ll update you went we have something specific.
