CBS To Pilot ‘Evil’ Supernatural Drama From ‘The Good Wife’ Creators

It’s a new year, which means the US networks are starting to look around for new pilots to fill out their schedules in the upcoming seasons. CBS has started with a supernatural drama pilot, titled ‘Evil’, from Robert and Michelle King, the duo behind hit show ‘The Good Wife’.

The show sounds somewhat like a supernatural ‘X-Files’ with a focus on the battle between science and religion. The series follows a sceptical female clinical psychologist who joins a priest-in-training and a blue-collar contractor as they investigate supposed miracles, demonic possessions, and other occurrences to see if there’s a scientific explanation or if something supernatural is at work.

Along with ‘The Good Wife’ and it’s follow up ‘The Good Fight’, Robert and Michelle King also created political dramedy ‘BrainDead’ under their overall deal with CBS. The Kings also have female-led military drama ‘Girls With Guns’ in development with the network which follows two American sisters who find themselves drafted into the military when their family moves from LA to Israel.

Robert and Michelle King will write and exec produce ‘Evil’ through their company King Size Productions. Liz Glotzer, president of King Size will also serve as executive producer.

As ‘Evil’ is currently a pilot, there is no guarantee it will get picked up to series, but we’ll let you know if and when we hear more.
