‘Chicago PD’ Season 6 Gets June UK Premiere Date On 5USA
After the usual torturous wait for British fans of the franchise, ‘Chicago PD‘ will finally return to the UK for Season 6 this June 5USA has announced.
‘Chicago P.D.’ is a police drama about the men and women of the Chicago Police Department’s elite Intelligence Unit combatting the city’s most heinous offences – organized crime, drug trafficking, high-profile murders and beyond.
For those of you needing a reminder of where we left things in Season 5, Alvin Olinsky was stabbed and killed in prison whilst awaiting trial for the murder of the man who killed Hank Voight’s (Jason Beghe) son… It was Voight who did it, but Olinsky took the fall and paid the ultimate price. Antonio’s (Jon Seda) loyalty was put to the test and Woods (Mykelti Williamson) looked to take down Voight once and for all.
As we head into Season 6, the episode “New Normal” sees bad heroin causing overdoses in Chicago, and Intelligence is a man down with Voight currently suspended. Antonio takes charge, but Ruzek (Patrick John Flueger) undermines his authority.
‘Chicago PD‘ Season 6 premieres Thursday 20th June 2019 at 9pm on 5USA.

Many thanks Dave for posting the news. First I’ve read about it (including on the A-Z of UK TV Airdates page). The word ‘notorious’ should be added to the news article before ‘torturous’, because we’ve had this for years. Got to the point where there’s no point in going over the same ground with criticising 5USA (why they were given first refusal with the latest season of the show, I don’t know).
Finally can get to see the other two parts of the crossover event virtually at the start of the season. Now that we know the start date, the Chicago P.D. part of the first crossover event of the season, will premiere the week after on Thursday 27th June.
It is a shame Sky Witness haven’t bought the UK rights so that it is aired along with Fire and Med.
