‘Killjoys‘ returns for its 5th and final season as Syfy UK sets a July premiere for the sci-fi drama.
‘Killjoys’ follows a fun-loving, hard living trio of interplanetary bounty hunters sworn to remain impartial as they chase deadly warrants throughout the Quad, a distant system on the brink of a bloody, multi-planetary class war.
The show stars Hannah John-Kamen (‘The Tunnel’, ‘Happy Valley’, ‘Black Mirror’) as Dutch, a level five RAC agent, and leader of the group; Aaron Ashmore (‘Warehouse 13’, ‘Smallville’, and the one that isn’t Shawn Ashmore), stars as Johnny, a fellow RAC agent, tech genius, and Dutch’s RAC partner; And Luke Macfarlane (‘The Night Shift’, ‘Brothers & Sisters’) plays D’avin, brother of Johnny and former soldier who joins the duo as a RAC bounty hunter.
If you remember the crazy finale of Season 4, “The Lady” had managed to separate our heroes after they lost the war to keep her trapped inside The Green. Now she’s loose and bringing chaos to Westerley and beyond, and poor Aneela is trapped in her place. If it’s true that our memories make us who we are, then everyone in Westerley is screwed – their memories have all been replaced with The Lady’s warped version of reality. As we head into Season 5, Dutch realizes The Lady has put Westerley under a collective delusion – in a world without memory, nothing is what it seems…
