6 Zodiac Signs that are the Biggest Geeks
While none of us believes that there are only 12 personalities in the world, pick up a description of your Sun Sign and you will see a lot of things that you can relate to.
Astrologists believe that the energy of the universe is either generated by, or reflected in, the movement of the stars and planets. They suggest that the position of heavenly bodies at the moment of a person’s birth can have a significant influence on who they are, their strengths, weaknesses and character traits. Obviously, these heavenly influences interact with our inherited traits, and what we experience over the course of our lives, to create a unique and individual person. But our Sun Sign, or even better a full individual natal chart, can still give us some insight into who we are. They often speak to character traits that live under the surface and we just can’t shake.
Who are the nerds in the pack? Who are the deep intellectual thinkers? What zodiac signs like to deep-dive into topics and examine all the details (and maybe even learn some Klingon)? Find out below.
Aries (March 21-April 19)
One of the fire signs, Aries tend to be ambitious, and a bit impatient. However, while it might be hard to hold their attention when they aren’t interested, when it comes to their passions, they can seem like a completely different person. If they are passionate about something, they dedicate themselves to it, learning about it, and where appropriate, achieve it.
Aries are likely to obsess over the latest technology and love to spend the time figuring out how things work. They probably have a special place where they store all their instruction manuals. They also tend to become obsessive about series, whether on TV or books, and have a regular date with the couch when their favourite show airs. Numerology Sign point out in their zodiac gift guides that if you’re struggling to find the right gift for an Aries, something geeky is usually a safe option.
Gemini (May 21-June 20)
Gemini is one of the air signs, all of which tend to be intellectual. Sometimes Gemini’s impeccable mind can be overlooked because they are easily distracted and always have their eye on the next thing, whether that be a person or the latest technology. But this doesn’t hold Gemini back as they grasp new ideas quickly. They dive deep and learn more quickly than others, which means that they are ready to move on when the next thing comes along.
Gemini are technology geeks who love having the latest and the best gadgets. They will spend hours researching the pros and cons of the latest smartphones on the market before committing to a purchase. If you are stuck on a tech-buying decision, casually mention it to a Gemini friend. They will likely come back to you with a comprehensive review of the options.
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
Cancer is one of the water signs and has a natural emotional intelligence. They are good at reading people and situations quickly and figuring out exactly what needs to be done. They tend to be sentimental, and like to hang on to things, both physical things and memories. Cancer always remembers what they hear and have great recall, so they always appear on the ball (and will never forget your birthday).
Your Tango say that a cancer’s nerdiness can manifest as obsessive behaviour, especially when it comes to collecting. If they love comic books, they will have every issue in the series, and maybe two copies, one for reading, and the other for maintaining in pristine condition. If they are interested in a topic, they won’t look around for one book to explore it more deeply, they will quickly build a library so that they can research (and ‘own’) every perspective. Cancer men are typically very geeky
Libra (September 23-October 22)
Another one of the intellectual air signs, I bet Alice was a Libra. Libra like to go down the rabbit hole and see where the mystery takes them. They love solving puzzles and figuring out problems. They can sometimes seem like they have a Sherlock Holmes-like ability to put disjointed things together.
Libra often prioritises the material things in life, so like Cancer, Libras tend to be collectors. Libra are interested in people, so they probably have posters and biographies about all their favourite actors from their favourite TV shows and movies. They are the type to frequent a convention for the opportunity to rub shoulders with some of the actors and characters that they have been obsessing about. They also love to dress up – Cosplay anyone?
Sagittarius (November 22-December 21)
While Sagittarius may hide their more stoic intellectual side behind their larger than life, outgoing personality, scratch the surface a little and you will find a nerd. They are incredibly curious and want to understand everything about the world and why it is the way that it is. They are good at reading people and situations and at seeing past surfaces to what is really happening underneath.
Whether physical or digital, every Sagittarius has an extensive library. They want to know everything about everything, and they aren’t satisfied with surface anecdotes. When it comes to learning they want to deep-dive. This makes them the perfect person to have on your team for a quiz, if you are willing to tolerate their competitive streak. Sagittarius knows that they are intellectual, and they want everyone else to know it as well.
Capricorn (December 22-January 19)
The most intellectual of the earth signs, Capricorn is less likely to show off their intellectual capacity than most of the others on this list. They are probably self-aware enough to know that they are intelligent, but tend to believe intelligence on its own isn’t worth that much. It needs to be partnered with action. They aren’t likely to sit at the bar and debate politics, but they may well run for office.
Capricorns will often turn their intellectual capacity to a mission. They are the ones who are filling your social media feed with revealing articles about climate change. They are the ones circulating with a petition or donation box. They are the ones coming up with witty slogans for protest banners. They are nerdy about their activism, and want everyone to be as obsessive about their latest cause as they are.
