Arrowverse’s Katrina Law Joins ‘Hawaii Five-0’ As Series Regular

Arrowverse’s Katrina Law is saying “aloha” to Hawaii Five-0, as she joins the CBS drama as a series regular for Season 10.

‘Hawaii Five-0’ is a contemporary take on the classic series about an elite federalized task force, led by Detective Steve McGarrett (Alex O’Loughlin) and long-suffering partner Detective Sergeant Danny “Danno” Williams (Scott Caan) whose mission is to wipe out the crime that washes up on the islands’ sun-drenched beaches.

Law is set to play Quinn Liu, a former Staff Sergeant in the Army’s Criminal Investigation Division, who was demoted for insubordination. When Liu crossing paths with Five-0 during a case involving war veterans, she ends up finding a new home as part of the task force. She is described as sharp-tongued (in several languages), with a deep understanding of military culture, a mysterious past, and a deft ability to match wits with McGarrett.

“We are thrilled to have Katrina join the series,” commented showrunner Peter M. Lenkov. “She dazzles as Quinn, the team’s newest recruit, and viewers are going to love seeing how she first encounters McGarrett and Danny. If you know the show well, you’ll be feeling some déjà vu.”

Katrina Law has spent the last few years helping (and more often, hindering) the heroes of the Arrowverse in a recurring role as Nyssa al Ghul, daughter of the Demon’s Head, Ra’s al Ghul. More recently, she had a main role in the dramas ‘The Oath’ and ‘Training Day’, along with a recurring role in Facebook Watch drama, ‘Sacred Lies’.

Alongside Law appearing as a series regular, there are a couple of interesting guest star announcements for the upcoming season. Academy Award winner Louis Gossett Jr. is set to pop up as Lou Grover’s (Chi McBride) father in a Thanksgiving episode written by McBride. Sticking with parents, the legendary Joan Collins is set to appear as the appropriately named Amanda Savage, Danny’s ex-mother-in-law who has never liked him, and was quite happy when he divorced Rachel (Claire van der Boom). Additionally, we are due for another inevitable crossover episode, as the Five-0 task force meets ‘Magnum P.I.’ (Jay Hernandez) for the first time.

Hawaii Five-0‘ Season 10 premieres September 27, 2019 on CBS in the US. We expect to see it arrive on Sky One around January 2020, but we’ll let you know when we have an exact date.
