First Full Trailer Arrives For ‘Titans’ Season 2 Introducing Superboy, Krypto & Bruce Wayne
DC Universe has released the first full trailer today for ‘Titans‘ Season 2, giving us our first real look at some of the new characters, including Superboy, and Krypto!
Dick Grayson, aka the former Robin (Brenton Thwaites), emerges from the shadows to lead a band of new heroes – including Starfire, Raven, Beast Boy and others. The show follows this group of young heroes as they come of age and find belonging in a gritty take on the iconic Teen Titans franchise.
In the first season, Dick meets Rachel Roth aka Raven (Teagan Croft), a young girl with special abilities brought on by a mysterious darkness inside of her that she struggles to control, and together, they find themselves embroiled in a conspiracy to bring about Hell on Earth. Joined by the mysterious Kory Anders aka Starfire (Anna Diop) and loveable Gar Logan aka Beast Boy (Ryan Potter), these lost and disparate individuals become a surrogate family to one another and a team of heroes for the world.
As you can see from the trailer, this season we are getting some new faces in the “New Titans”. Drew Van Acker (‘Pretty Little Liars’, ‘Training Day’) swims aboard as Aqualad, whilst Joshua Orpin (‘The Blake Mysteries: Ghost Stories’) flies in as the Connor Kent version of Superboy (along with Krypto!) We also see the return of Alan Ritchson as Hank Hall (Hawk), Minka Kelly as Dawn Granger (Dove), Conor Leslie as Donna Troy (Wonder Girl), and Curran Walters as Jason Todd (Robin). The new trailer also gives us a look at Iain Glen (‘Game of Thrones’) as Bruce Wayne.
‘Titans‘ Season 2 premieres on DC Universe in the US from September 06, 2019. No confirmed UK premiere date from Netflix at the moment, but we would guess Late 2019/Early 2020, if they follow the same pattern as last year and wait for DC Universe to finish their run rather than putting it on next day. We’ll let you know when we have a confirmed date.
