‘iZombie’s Rahul Kohli & ‘Years And Years’ T’Nia Miller Join Returning Stars In ‘The Haunting of Bly Manor’
The second instalment of Netflix’s horror anthology series has added two new faces as it’s announced ‘iZombie’s Rahul Kohli & ‘Years And Years’ star T’Nia Miller will be joining returning Season 1 cast members in ‘The Haunting of Bly Manor‘.
Inspired by Henry James’ psychological gothic horror novella The Turn of the Screw, ‘The Haunting of Bly Manor’ follows two young orphans being cared for by a young governess in an old country mansion. As the title suggests, they become convinced that the grounds are haunted… and let’s face it, they are probably correct.
Rahul Kohli is set to play a small-town guy with a worldly mindset, who has returned to the country to take care of his ailing mother. Kohli is no stranger to dealing with the dead, having just come off five seasons of The CW series ‘iZombie’, where he played medical examiner, Dr. Ravi Chakrabarti.
T’Nia Miller joins the drama in a lead role, but her character has yet to be revealed. Miller has recently completed a stunning performance in Russell T. Davies’ limited series ‘Years and Years’. Previously she has appeared in ‘Doctor Who’, ‘Marcella’, and the ‘Hatton Garden’ mini-series.
Also announced as joining the cast are Amelie Smith (‘EastEnders’) and Benjamin Ainsworth (‘Emmerdale’) as the children, Flora and Miles.
The joined a number of ‘The Haunting Of Hill House’ cast members, who return to the anthology but in new roles, much like a certain other ‘American Horror Story’ we could mention. Victoria Pedretti (“Nell” Crain Vance in THoHH) will play the aforementioned young governess, Dani, who also narrates the story. Henry Thomas (Hugh Crain in THoHH) also returns, along with Catherine Parker (Poppy Hill in THoHH), but their roles are being kept under wraps.
‘The Haunting of Bly Manor‘ comes from ‘Hill House’ creator Mike Flanagan, and is produced by Netflix, Paramount TV, Amblin TV, and Intrepid Pictures. The series is due to air on Netflix in 2020.
