Sky Witness Sets December Premiere Date For 6th & Final Season Of ‘Madam Secretary’

Sky Witness has set a December UK premiere date for the 6th and final season of Madam Secretary the broadcaster has announced.

‘Madam Secretary’ stars Téa Leoni as Elizabeth McCord, the shrewd, determined, newly elected president of the United States. After successfully serving as secretary of state for five years, Elizabeth now holds the highest office in the land with the help of her team, which includes chief of staff Russell Jackson; counsellor to the president Mike Barnow; press secretary Daisy Grant; and charming assistant Blake Moran.

As Elizabeth debates policy and battles opponents on Capitol Hill, that’s just a warm-up for when she’s back at the White House residence with her supportive husband, theology-professor-turned-First-Gentleman Henry, and their children, where “politics” and “compromise” take on new meaning.

The series also stars Tim Daly stars as Henry – now First Gentleman of the United States, Wallis Currie Wood as daughter Stevie McCord, Zeljko Ivanek as White House Chief of Staff Russell Jackson, Patina Miller as press coordinator Daisy Grant, Erich Bergen as personal assistant Blake Moran, and Kevin Rahm as “Mike B”.

Season 6 picks up a few months following the events of the previous season. Elizabeth must fend off a baseless investigation into her past that threatens to derail the first major legislation of her presidency. Meanwhile, Henry squirms after his appearance on a late-night show results in heightened scrutiny of his marriage.

Madam Secretary‘ Season 6 premieres Thursday, 5th December 2019 at 10pm on Sky Witness in the UK.
