Netflix Set January Premiere Date For ‘Grace and Frankie’ Season 6

Netflix has set a January 2020 premiere date for the 6th and penultimate season of brilliant comedy Grace and Frankie the streaming service has announced today.

The comedy sees Jane Fonda (Grace) and Lily Tomlin (Frankie) star as two women whose lives are turned upside down when their husbands reveal they are gay and leave them for each other. Both sparring partners and partners-in-crime, Grace and Frankie form an unlikely and unbreakable bond and face their uncertain futures head-on, hand-in-hand. Together with their ex-husbands and children, they discover the true definition of “family,” with laughter, tears and plenty of mood enhancers along the way.

The show comes from Marta Kauffman and Howard J. Morris and also stars June Diane Raphael, Baron Vaughn, Brooklyn Decker and Ethan Embry as the duo’s children. Season 5 saw the addition of RuPaul in a guest-starring role as Benjamin Le Day, a formidable and quick-witted adversary who faces off with Grace and Frankie.

‘Grace and Frankie’ has been critically acclaimed, landing multiple Emmy and SAG nominations over its previous 5 seasons, although has yet to actually manage to bag the trophy. The series was renewed back in September for a 7th and final season.

Grace and Frankie‘ Season 6 premieres Wednesday, 15th January 2020 on Netflix UK and worldwide.
