Sky Atlantic has released the first trailer for limited series ‘The Undoing‘, which premieres in May 2020, and sees Nicole Kidman reunited with ‘Big Little Lies‘ creator David E. Kelley. The drama also stars Hugh Grant, Edgar Ramirez and Donald Sutherland.
Kidman plays Grace Sachs, a woman who is living the only life she ever wanted for herself. She’s a successful therapist, has a devoted husband in Jonathan (Grant), and a young son who attends an elite private school in New York City.
Overnight a chasm opens in her life: a violent death, a missing husband, and, in the place of a man Grace thought she knew, only a chain of terrible revelations. Left behind in the wake of a spreading and very public disaster and horrified by the ways in which she has failed to heed her own advice, Grace must dismantle one life and create another for her child and herself.
Based on the book You Should Have Known by Jean Hanff Korelitz, David E. Kelley (‘Big Little Lies’, ‘Mr. Mercedes’) created and wrote the drama and serves as showrunner. Susanne Bier (‘The Night Manager’) directs and exec produces alongside Kelley and Kidman.
Additional cast includes Ismael Cruz Cordova, Matilda De Angelis, Lily Rabe, Noma Dumezweni, Noah Jupe, and Sofie Gråbøl.
‘The Undoing‘ premieres in May 2020 on Sky Atlantic in the UK and HBO in the USA.
