Geektown Radio 241: Coronavirus Vs TV Production, ‘Breeders’ & ‘Miracle Workers’ Review, Plus TV News, Renewals & UK TV Air Dates!

As you’re all now stuck indoors, it’s a great time to listen to the latest Geektown Radio podcast, where I’m joined by Ross in the co-host chair to review our week in tv, plus we chat about the weekly tv news, renewals and cancellations.

Reviewing the last 7 days in tv and film, Ross gives his thoughts on ‘Avenue 5’, and we discuss Season 1 of ‘Miracle Workers’ starring Daniel Radcliffe and Steve Buscemi, which just concluded it’s run on Sky Comedy. I also review new Sky One comedy ‘Breeders’ starring Martin Freeman and Daisy Haggard, and give my thoughts on Season 2 of ‘Altered Carbon’.

In the latest news, there is obviously one big story… As the CoVid-19 Coronavirus shuts down Hollywood, Ross and I discuss what this means for tv production. We discuss the effect on the upcoming pilot season, along with the impact on shows which are currently airing, and the potential disruption to the Autumn/Fall tv season. On a lighter note, we also chat about the upcoming ‘Fast Show’ retrospective, and the new host of ‘The Great British Bake Off’.

On This Weeks Show:

  • I’m joined by Ross to review the movies and tv series we’ve been watching over the past few weeks.
  • We take a look at all the latest tv & film news, including all the renewals & cancellations.
  • We give you our recommendations for the upcoming TV in the next few weeks.
