Sky Atlantic has released a new trailer for HBO limited series I Know This Much Is True, which stars Mark Ruffalo… and Mark Ruffalo… as twin brothers in a six-part limited drama, coming June 2020 on Sky Atlantic & NOW TV.

From acclaimed writer and director Derek Cianfrance (‘Blue Valentine’, ‘The Place Beyond the Pines’) the drama series stars Mark Ruffalo (‘Avengers: Endgame’, ‘The Kids Are All Right’) who also serves as an executive producer, as identical twin brothers Dominick and Thomas Birdsey in a family saga that follows their parallel lives in an epic story of betrayal, sacrifice and forgiveness. The series shows Dominick and Thomas at different stages in their lives, beginning in their present with both brothers approaching middle-age, filled in with Dominick’s flashbacks to their young adulthood.

Thomas is a paranoid schizophrenic, whilst Dominick’s life is dominated by his resentment of and love for his damaged twin. Dominick’s whole existence is coloured by the knowledge that his twin brother can never be fully responsible for his frightening behaviour, while he himself has beaten the biochemical odds to remain sane. But at what cost?

The limited series is written for television and directed by Derek Cianfrance, based on the best-selling novel of the same name from Wally Lamb. Cianfrance executive produces along with Ben Browning & Glen Basner for Film Nation Entertainment, Mark Ruffalo for Willi Hill Productions, Gregg Fienberg, Lynette Howell Taylor, Wally Lamb, Anya Epstein; Jamie Patricof co-executive producers.

I Know This Much Is True‘ premieres June 2020 on Sky Atlantic & NOW TV.
