Terminator/Aliens Star Michael Biehn Cast As Bounty Hunter In ‘The Mandalorian’ Season 2
‘The Mandalorian‘ Season 2 has added a sci-fi star Michael Biehn to its ranks according to reports today.
Whilst we don’t know exactly who Biehn will be playing in the season, he is said to be a bounty hunter from Mando’s past… The question is, will be a friend or foe? We do know he will be joining the recently announced Rosario Dawson (‘Daredevil’) who is believed to have been cast as fan-favourite Jedi, Ahsoka Tano.
Michael Biehn should be a familiar face to fans of classic 80s movies ‘Terminator’, where he played Kyle Reese, ‘Aliens’, where he starred as Hicks, and ‘The Abyss’ in which he portrayed Lt. Coffey. Since then, he has popped up in a slew of films, including ‘Tombstone’, ‘The Rock’, and ‘Grindhouse’, along with tv shows, and voicing video games.
Like the Dawson casting, Disney has not officially announced Biehn appearing in the role, but trade mag The Hollywood Reporter says they have confirmed the news, so it seems likely to be true.
‘The Mandalorian’ Season 1 officially launched in the UK on Disney+ on yesterday (Tuesday, 24th March 2020)… Although, Disney has taken the monumentally infuriating decision to only release episodes 1 & 2, whilst putting out the rest of the series weekly…
‘The Mandalorian‘ Season 2 is currently scheduled to air in Autumn 2020. The series has finished filming, but there is obviously a stack of FX work and editing still to do. Hopefully, that can be done during the isolation caused by current events, and it will still make its launch window. We’ll let you know when we hear more.
