’13 Reasons Why’ 4th & Final Season Gets June Premiere Date On Netflix, Along With Goodbye Video
Netflix has set a June premiere date for the 4th and final season of teen drama ‘13 Reasons Why‘, along with releasing a “goodbye” video featuring the cast’s final table read.
Based on the best-selling books by Jay Asher, Season 1 followed teenager Clay Jensen as he returns home from school to find a mysterious box with his name on it lying on his porch. Inside he discovers cassette tapes recorded by Hannah Baker – his classmate and crush – who tragically committed suicide two weeks earlier. On tape, Hannah explains that there are thirteen reasons why she decided to end her life.
Season 2 picked up in the aftermath of Hannah’s death and the start of the characters’ complicated journeys toward healing and recovery, whilst Season 3 saw Clay under police scrutiny after the disappearance of a football player. In the 4th and final season, Liberty High School’s Senior Class prepares for graduation. But before they say goodbye, they’ll have to keep a dangerous secret buried and face heartbreaking choices that could impact their futures forever.
The series stars Dylan Minnette, Alisha Boes, Brandon Flynn, Miles Heize, Grace Saif, Christian Navarro, Ross Butler, Devin Druid, Timothy Granaderos, Anne Winters Bluman, Tyler Barnhardt, Austin Aaron, Inde Navarrette, RJ Brown, Steven Webern, Brenda Strong, Amy Hargreaves, Josh Hamilton, Mark Pellegrino and Jan Luis Castellanos.
In the final season the cast is joined by Gary Sinise (‘Apollo 13’, ‘CSI: NY’, ‘Forrest Gump’) as Dr. Robert Ellman, a compassionate, incisive, no-nonsense adolescent and family therapist who works to help Clay Jensen (Minnette) battle anxiety, depression and grief. Also joining the cast is Jan Luis Castellanos (‘Runaways’) as Diego Torres, a charismatic, aggressive and fiercely loyal leader of a divided football team struggling to understand the loss of one of their own.
‘13 Reasons Why‘ Season 4 premieres Friday, 5th June 2020 on Netflix UK and worldwide.
