Geektown Radio 249: ‘Outer Banks’, ‘Upload’, ‘Old World’ Reviews, Plus TV Vs Coronavirus News, Renewals & UK TV Air Dates!

It’s another week in lockdown, and time for the latest Geektown Radio podcast, which sees me joined by Ross in the co-host chair to review our week in tv and film, plus we chat about the weekly tv news, renewals and cancellations.

Reviewing the last 7 days in tv, gaming and film, Ross has been rewatching ‘Scrubs’ on All4, so reminisces about the show, and we both have been watching Upload on Amazon Prime starring Robbie Amell, so we discuss that in more detail. I have been playing newly released video game Old World, so give my first impressions of that, and we talk about the recently released trailer for Space Force, the new comedy from Steve Carell & Greg Daniels.

In the latest news, we run through a stack of renewals and cancellations from CBS and other networks, along with discussing the latest developments in COVID-19 affected tv. This includes the CBS pilot pickups, a pile of Star Wars news, ‘The Blacklist’s inventive way to finish off their current season after the drama’s filming was cut short due to the pandemic, and the news that there is a ‘National Treasure’ tv series in the works.

On This Weeks Show:

  • I’m joined by Ross to review the movies, tv-series, and games we’ve been watching and playing over the past week.
  • We take a look at all the latest tv & film news, including all the renewals & cancellations.
  • We give you our recommendations for the upcoming TV in the next few weeks.
