If lockdown has you stressed and you need to relax, or if you need the kids to calm down after watching ‘Frozen’ for the hundredth time, Disney+ has released a new short-form animated series for you!
‘Zenimation’ is designed to help you unplug, relax, and refresh your senses for a moment of mindfulness, in an animated soundscape experience. Whether it’s baby Moana being called by the ocean, Anna and Kristoff walking through an icy forest, or Baymax and Hiro Hamada flying over San Fransokyo, these iconic scenes become an aural experience like no other with the sounds of ocean waves, an icy forest and soaring flight. ‘Zenimation’ pays tribute to both the visual and sound artists who have created Walt Disney Animation Studios’ legacy of films.
Each episode is 5 to 7 mins long and might just help you get a tiny moment of quiet and relaxation in the middle of the madness of your day. No dialogue or musical score. Just the amazing work of Disney’s sound editors mixed with beautiful visuals from various animated features. It’s a really intriguing use of existing Disney work, remixed to bring a little bit of calm to your world.
‘Zenimation’ was created and edited by David Bess, and can be watched on Disney+ right now.
