Apple TV+ Releases “First Look” Trailer Of ‘Foundation’, Based On The Isaac Asimov Novels

Apple TV+ has released the first glimpse of Foundation, a brand new drama based on the internationally revered and award-winning Isaac Asimov novel series of the same name.

In the teaser trailer, showrunner and executive producer David S. Goyer unveils a glimpse into the making of the epic saga, which chronicles a band of exiles on their monumental journey to save humanity and rebuild civilization amid the fall of the Galactic Empire.

The series stars SAG Award winner and Emmy nominee Jared Harris (‘Chernobyl’, ‘Carnival Row’) as Hari Seldon, a mathematical genius who predicts the demise of the empire; Lee Pace (The Hobbit’ trilogy, ‘Pushing Daisies’) as Brother Day, current Emperor of the Galaxy; Newcomer Lou Llobell as Gaal, a psychohistorian, and a member of Hari Seldon’s mysterious Seldon Project; Leah Harvey (‘Les Misérables’) as Salvor, first mayor of Terminus City; Laura Birn (‘The Innocents’) as Demerzel; Terrence Mann (‘Sense8’) as Brother Dusk; and newcomer Cassian Bilton as Brother Dawn.

David S. Goyer, the screenwriter behind Christopher Nolan’s ‘The Dark Knight’ trilogy, ‘Da Vinci’s Demons’, ‘Krypton’, and ‘Terminator: Dark Fate’, serves as showrunner and executive producer on the drama. Robyn Asimov, Josh Friedman, Cameron Welsh, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Marcy Ross also serve as exec producers. The series is produced for Apple by Skydance Television.

For those of you wondering how to get Apple TV+, from 1st November, the service will be available on the Apple TV app via iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, iPod touch, Mac, and online at tv.apple.com across 100 countries and regions, including the UK. It will also be coming to select Samsung, Sony, LG and Vizio smart TVs, Roku and Amazon Fire TV devices, although they aren’t all going to be available for the launch. The service costs £4.99 per month with a seven-day free trial, but if you happen to be in the market for one of the Apple products listed above, you get will get 12 months of Apple TV+ for free.
