Sky Atlantic & HBO have set an October UK & US premiere date for limited series ‘The Undoing‘, which sees Nicole Kidman reunited with ‘Big Little Lies‘ creator David E. Kelley, along with Hugh Grant, Edgar Ramirez and Donald Sutherland. The series was originally scheduled for May but was moved by HBO due to the pandemic.
Kidman plays Grace Sachs, a woman who is living the only life she ever wanted for herself. She’s a successful therapist, has a devoted husband in Jonathan (Grant), and a young son who attends an elite private school in New York City.
Overnight a chasm opens in her life: a violent death, a missing husband, and, in the place of a man Grace thought she knew, only a chain of terrible revelations. Left behind in the wake of a spreading and very public disaster and horrified by the ways in which she has failed to heed her own advice, Grace must dismantle one life and create another for her child and herself.
Based on the book You Should Have Known by Jean Hanff Korelitz, ‘The Undoing’ has been written by David E. Kelley, the man behind smash hit ‘Big Little Lies’, ‘Boston Legal’, ‘Mr. Mercedes’, and of course, ‘Ally McBeal’. Kelley serves as showrunner and exec producer, with ‘The Night Manager’s Susanne Bier also exec producing and directing all 6 episodes.
Additional cast includes Ismael Cruz Cordova, Matilda De Angelis, Lily Rabe, Noma Dumezweni, Noah Jupe, and Sofie Gråbøl.
‘The Undoing‘ premieres Monday, 26th October 2020 on Sky Atlantic & NOW TV in the UK. HBO airs the drama Sunday, October 25th, 2020, at 9/8c in the USA.
