Geektown Behind The Scenes Podcast 23: Bex Interviews Crunchyroll’s Miles Thomas About Anime, Manga & More!

Welcome to a new, and a slightly different, episode of the Geektown Behind The Scenes podcast! This week, we are chatting with Miles Thomas, Director of Social Media and Editorial Programming for the world’s best-known anime streaming service, Crunchyroll.

For those of you that don’t know about Crunchyroll, it is an on-demand streaming service which specialises in Japanese content, such as anime, manga, and dorama. The service operates in more than 200 countries and territories and offers fans the chance to stream one of the largest collections of anime content through Crunchyroll, Anime Digital Network, and Anime on Demand video streaming services, translated in multiple languages for viewers worldwide. Viewers can also access simulcasts – top series available immediately after Japanese broadcast. Crunchyroll’s services also extend to licensing of theatrical, TV, home video, and consumer product rights.

Due to Dave knowing nothing about anime, presenting duties for this episode were handed over to regular Geektown Radio co-host (and anime/manga geek) Bex of TristaBytes. In the interview, Miles discusses his job at Crunchyroll, along with chatting about various shows on the platform, and some of their upcoming Crunchyroll Original content.
