This week’s episode of the Geektown Radio podcast is a bumper edition, as I’m joined by Matt from Entertainment Talk for a roundup of the massive DC FanDome event, plus we chat our way through our week in tv and film, along with all the weekly tv news, renewals and cancellations.
Reviewing the last 7 days in tv & gaming, Matt has been flying around as Tony Stark in ‘Iron Man VR’, so gives us his thoughts on the game, along with a review of a selection of “found footage” horror movies, and a roundup of his week in tv including ‘Superstore’, ‘Wentworth’, and animated musical ‘Central Park’ on Apple TV+. Meanwhile, I chat through Season 5a of ‘Lucifer’ which returned to Netflix this week, along with episode one of German drama ‘Biohackers’, and we both chat about ‘Stargirl’, who just landed in the UK on Amazon.
In the TV news, we have the renewals, cancellations and pickups, but the main news this week comes from Saturdays massive DC FanDome online event. We talk through all the news and stories from the panels including Matt Reeves ‘The Batman’, James Gunn’s ‘The Suicide Squad’, and the two big game announcements – ‘Gotham Knights’ from WB Games Montreal & ‘Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice’ from Rocksteady. We also discuss the news that DC is embracing the multiverse across tv & film, along with some news on ‘Titans’, ‘Sandman’, ‘Justice League’ #TheSnyderCut, ‘Black Adam’, and so much more! We even managed to sneak in a little bit of ‘Supernatural’ & ‘The Boys’ news. It’s a packed, supersized show, so listen below!
