FOX UK Picks Up 2 Seasons Of ‘Bless This Mess’ Starring Dax Shepard & Lake Bell To Premiere In January

FOX UK has, once again, been rummaging through their “Big Box Of Disney-Owned Cancelled TV Series” and pulled out sitcom Bless This Mess, starring Dax Shepard & Lake Bell, to air in January.

Bless This Mess follows newlyweds Rio (Lake Bell, ‘Bojack Horseman’) and Mike (Dax Shepard, ‘Parenthood’) as they make the decision to swap the city life of New York for rural Nebraska.

After dropping everything, to make the move from skyscrapers to farmhouses, they soon realize that living on a farm may not be as easy as they thought. Rio and Mike must quickly learn how to weather the storm as they face the challenges in their new life as farmers.

After weeks of researching soil revitalisation, the weather forecast is not in their favour so Rio and Mike are forced to find a new strategy. But as Mike tries to focus on addressing the dead soil, Rio attempts to connect with new neighbours at the Bowman’s potluck but ends up spicing up her romantic relationship with Mike instead.

Alongside Shepard and Bell, the series stars Pam Grier (‘The L Word’, ‘Jackie Brown’) as Constance Terry, the owner of the local store… and the local sheriff; Ed Begley Jr. (‘Better Call Saul’, ‘Young Sheldon’) as Rudy Longfellow, who lives in the Levine-Youngs’ barn; JT Neal (‘Malibu Rescue’) as Jacob Bowman, son of the neighbours, Beau, played by David Koechner (‘The Goldbergs’), and Kay, played by Lennon Parham (‘Schooled’, ‘Veep’).

The series is from 20th Century Television and ABC Studios. Lake Bell and Elizabeth Meriwether are co-creators and executive producers. Jake Kasdan, Melvin Mar, Erin O’Malley, Katherine Pope and Dax Shepard serve as executive producers.

The comedy was cancelled after 2 Seasons, so don’t get too attached!

Bless This Mess‘ Season 1 premieres Wednesday, 6th January 2021 at 9pm on FOX UK.
