‘Superstore’ To End With Season 6

Cloud 9 will be closing its doors, as NBC announce Superstore will come to an end when with the current 6th Season.

The workplace comedy stars (or rather starred) America Ferrera and Ben Feldman and follows the unique family of employees at a supersized megastore. Ferrera starred as store manager Amy on the series, but bows out of the comedy during the 100th Episode, which has already aired in the US. Feldman’s Jonah is still on the show until it ends for good in the new year.

“We’re grateful to Universal Television and NBC for letting us make 113 episodes of a show we’re so proud of, and for giving us the chance to work with such an incredibly talented group of actors, writers and crew,” commented exec producers Justin Spitzer, Gabe Miller and Jonathan Green in a statement. “We’re thankful most of all to the viewers who’ve stuck with us for the past six years (or discovered us somewhere along the way). We’ll do our best to go out strong and give you the satisfying ending you deserve.”

The series was created by Spitzer, who serves as an executive producer along with co-showrunners Green & Miller, Ferrera, director Ruben Fleischer, David Bernad and Victor Nelli Jr. Universal Television produce the comedy.

‘Superstore’ has always been a signature NBC series that has never failed to make us laugh while also thoughtfully examining important issues people care deeply about,” adds Lisa Katz, NBC President, Scripted Content. “This has been an amazing group of writers, producers, actors and crew to work with and we are incredibly grateful for all their contributions. This show will forever hold its place among the top workplace comedies for which we have a cherished history.”

The first few episodes of ‘Superstore‘ Season 6 have already aired in the USA, and it is currently on break until January 14, 2021, when it’ll return for the final 11 episodes on NBC. We don’t know exactly when the final season land on ITV2 in the UK, as schedules are all over the place due to the pandemic, but we’ll let you know when we hear something.
