Geektown Radio 280: ‘Tiny Pretty Things’, ‘History Of Swear Worlds’ Reviews, Renewals & Cancellations, Plus UK TV Air Dates!

The first “return to normal” Geektown Radio podcast of 2021, sees the triumphant return of Bex from TristaBytes to chat through our week in tv, film & gaming, along with all the weekly tv news, renewals and cancellations!

Reviewing the last 7 days in tv and gaming, Bex has been working her way through a few Netflix shows, which (surprisingly for her) didn’t have spaceships in them! As one of the 60m people to have watched ‘The Queen’s Gambit’, she gives us her thoughts on that, along with some rather less complimentary remarks about ballet series ‘Tiny Pretty Things’. We also chat through the current season of ‘Star Trek Discovery’, whilst I review ‘History Of Swear Worlds’… presented by Nicolas Cage… We also chat through games such as ‘Chrono Trigger’, ‘Crusader Kings 3’ and the ‘Oxygen Not Included: Spaced Out!’ DLC.

In the TV news, we have all the usual renewals, cancellations and pickups, along with stories about casting for the ‘Dexter’ revival series and ‘Legends Of Tomorrow‘, and news of a ‘Star Wars’ movie from Marvel’s Kevin Feige. We also discuss the Quibi content coming to Roku, The CW passing on ‘Green Arrow and the Canaries’ and much more!

On This Weeks Show:

  • I’m joined by Bex to review the movies, games, and tv shows we’ve been watching over the past week.
  • We take a look at all the latest tv & film news, including all the renewals & cancellations.
  • We give you our recommendations for the upcoming TV in the next few weeks.
