Geektown Radio 285: ‘Ted Lasso’, ‘For Life’ Reviews, Renewals & Cancellations, UK TV Air Dates!

On this week’s Geektown Radio podcast, Matt from Entertainment Talk joins me to chat through our week in tv, film & gaming, along with all the weekly tv news, renewals and cancellations!

We begin by reviewing the last 7 days in tv, film and gaming, including Apple TV+ series ‘Ted Lasso’, which Matt had been watching, along with Netflix docuseries ‘The Vanishing at the Cecil Hotel’, and a review of a potential early game of the year contender, ‘Little Nightmares 2’. Meanwhile, I chat through completing season one of prison drama ‘For Life’, along with international drugs drama ‘ZeroZeroZero’. This week has also seen a lot of online discussion about two people who make and star in tv dramas – Joss Whedon and Gina Carano – so we run through the various events, and give our thoughts on the latest developments.

In the TV news, we have all the usual renewals, cancellations and pickups. We also chat about The CW remaking ‘The 4400’, and their three pilot pickups, including a new DC Comics show, and a series about millennial nuns! We also discuss a potential ‘True Lies’ tv series for CBS, and Amazon ordering a series based on the movie ‘Mr. and Mrs. Smith’ from Donald Glover & Phoebe Waller-Bridge.

On This Weeks Show:

  • I’m joined by Matt to review the movies, games, and tv shows we’ve been watching over the past week.
  • We take a look at all the latest tv & film news, including all the renewals & cancellations.
  • We give you our recommendations for the upcoming TV in the next few weeks.
