‘Line Of Duty’ Season 6 Gets Trailer & March UK Premiere Date On BBC One

Line Of Duty returns for Season 6 as AC-12 delve into a new case.

When new information comes to light about a possible suspect in a year-long unsolved murder investigation, DCI Joanne Davidson, played by Kelly Macdonald (‘Boardwalk Empire’, ‘Trainspotting’), appears keen to finally bring Gail Vella’s killer to justice. However, after her conduct arouses suspicions, it’s not long before AC-12 are on the case. But as AC-12’s investigation uncovers deeper and darker information, will DCI Joanne Davidson turn out to be their most dangerous adversary yet?

The 6th Season will see the return of series regulars, Martin Compston as D.S. Steve Arnott, Vicky McClure as D.C. Kate Fleming, and Adrian Dunbar as Superintendent Ted Hastings. They are joined by ‘Line Of Duty’ newcomers Shalom Brune-Franklin (‘Cursed’, ‘Our Girl’), Perry Fitzpatrick (‘Suspects’, ‘Cursed’), Andi Osho (‘Curfew’, ‘I May Destroy You’) and Prasanna Puwanarajah (‘Defending the Guilty’, ‘Doctor Foster’, ‘Patrick Melrose’).

‘Line Of Duty’ is written and created by Jed Mercurio, and made for BBC One by World Productions. The new series will be directed by Daniel Nettheim, Gareth Bryn, and Jennie Darnell, and the producer is Ken Horn. Executive producers are Jed Mercurio, Simon Heath for World Productions, and Tommy Bulfin for BBC One. International distribution of the sixth series of Line Of Duty is handled by ITV Studios.

Line Of Duty‘ Season 6 premieres Sunday, 21st March 2021 at 9pm on BBC One.
