‘Superstore’ 6th & Final Season Gets April UK Premiere On ITV2

Cloud 9 opens its doors one last time, as Superstore Season 6 lands an April UK premiere date on ITV2.

The workplace comedy stars America Ferrera and Ben Feldman and follows the unique family of employees at a supersized megastore. Through its own comedic lens, the series has consistently examined many of the country’s most topical issues, including health care, immigration, unionisation, the plight of the retail worker and many more.

Alongside Ferrera and Feldman, the series stars Mark McKinney (Glenn), Lauren Ash (Dina), Colton Dunn (Garrett), Nichole Sakura (Cheyenne), Kaliko Kauahi (Sandra) and Nico Santos (Mateo). As I’m sure many of you already know, Ferrera opted to leave the series at the end of Season 5, however, the pandemic delayed that, moving her final episodes into the start of the 6th Season.

The opening episode deals directly with the pandemic, and is appropriately titled “Essential”. After the coronavirus hits, Amy and Jonah try to bring some order to the chaos in Cloud 9 while being pulled in multiple directions. The employees learn what it means to be considered “heroes” while Amy and Jonah’s impending move to California looms large.

The series was created by Justin Spitzer, who serves as an executive producer along with co-showrunners Gabe Miller and Jonathan Green, Ferrera, director Ruben Fleischer, David Bernad and Victor Nelli Jr. Universal Television produce the comedy.

Superstore‘ Season 6 premieres Monday 19th April 2021 at 7:30pm on ITV2 in the UK.
