Netflix has released a trailer for Season 2 of the brilliantly weird and wonderfully strange adult animated anthology Love, Death & Robots, which returns this May, along with announcing a 3rd Season will land in 2022.

For those who haven’t caught this series yet, ‘Love, Death & Robots’ is a collection of animated short stories that span the science fiction, fantasy, horror and comedy genres. With a bold approach to each story’s narrative, episodes are intended to be easy to watch and hard to forget. The second season consists of Naked giants, Christmas demons, and robots-gone-wild… Consume irresponsibly.

Executive produced by David Fincher, Tim Miller, Jennifer Miller and Josh Donen, the series brings together world-class animation creators and captivating stories for the first anthology of short animated stories guaranteed to deliver a unique and visceral viewing experience.

In addition to announcing the premiere of season two and releasing the trailer, they also snuck in the news that the series had been renewed for a third season, which is set to land in 2022.

Last year, before we were all locking in our homes, I headed over to LA to chat with composer Rob Cairns about his work on season one of the series. You can listen to that interview here.

Love, Death & Robots‘ Season 2 premieres Friday, 14th May 2021 on Netflix UK and worldwide.
