‘Bosch’: 7th & Final Season Gets Trailer & June Premiere

by Dave Elliott

Amazon’s longest-running Original Series, Bosch, has landed a trailer and June premiere for the 7th and “final” (I’ll get to the quotation marks in a minute…) season the streaming service has announced.

Based on Michael Connelly’s best-selling novel The Burning Room (2014) and the real arson case that inspired it, the seventh season puts Detective Harry Bosch’s famous motto centre stage: “Everybody counts or nobody counts.” When a ten-year-old girl dies in an arson fire, Detective Harry Bosch risks everything to bring her killer to justice despite opposition from powerful forces. The highly charged, politically sensitive case forces Bosch to face a gruelling dilemma of how far he is willing to go to achieve justice.

The series stars Titus Welliver as homicide Detective Harry Bosch, Jamie Hector as Detective Jerry Edgar, Amy Aquino as Lt. Grace Billets, Madison Lintz as Maddie Bosch and Lance Reddick as Chief Irvin Irving.

Whilst this is being touted as the “final” season, the show is somewhat continuing albeit in a slightly different form, on Amazon’s free US streaming service IMDb TV. The new drama will follow Harry Bosch as he embarks on the next chapter of his career and finds himself working with his one-time enemy and top-notch attorney Honey “Money” Chandler. With a deep and complicated history between this unlikely pair, they must work together to do what they can agree on – finding justice. Titus Welliver, Mimi Rogers and Madison Lintz are set to star.

Whilst it hasn’t yet been confirmed, it seems extremely likely the yet-to-be-titled spin-off will probably air on Amazon Prime in the UK, as we don’t have IMDb TV. We’ll let you know when we have more news.

‘Bosch’ is produced by Fabrik Entertainment, a Red Arrow Studios company and was developed for television by Eric Overmyer. The series is executive produced by Titus Welliver, Elle Johnson, Pieter Jan Brugge, Henrik Bastin, Michael Connelly and Eric Overmyer.

Bosch‘ 7th & final season premieres Friday 25th June 2021, with all eight episodes dropping on Amazon Prime Video in the UK and around the world.
