Marvel’s ‘Eternals’ Gets First Trailer, Coming November 2021

by Dave Elliott

Marvel has released the first teaser trailer for ‘Eternals’, the upcoming Phase Four MCU movie, which lands in cinemas this November.

This epic story, spanning thousands of years, follows the Eternals, a powerful race of cosmic beings created by cosmic gods, the Celestials, alongside the Eternals genetic cousins the Deviants. Whilst the Eternals tend to be peaceful, the more destructive and deformed Deviants tend toward violence and war. The two factions have been locked in a never-ending war, with humanity often stuck in the middle. The film sees these immortal heroes forced out of the shadows to reunite against mankind’s oldest enemy… “Throughout the years we have never interfered, until now…”

The outstanding ensemble cast includes Richard Madden as the all-powerful Ikaris; Gemma Chan as humankind-loving Sersi; Kumail Nanjiani as cosmic-powered Kingo; Lauren Ridloff as the super-fast Makkari; Brian Tyree Henry as the intelligent inventor Phastos; Salma Hayek as the wise and spiritual leader Ajak; Lia McHugh as the eternally young, old-soul Sprite; Don Lee as the powerful Gilgamesh; Barry Keoghan as aloof loner Druig; and Angelina Jolie as the fierce warrior Thena. Kit Harington plays Dane Whitman.

Eternals is directed by Academy Award–winner Chloé Zhao, and premieres November 2021 in cinemas worldwide.
