‘Manifest’ Season 3 Gets July Premiere On Sky One
What now looks to be the final journey of Montego Air Flight 828 will land this July in the UK as Sky One sets a premiere date for ‘Manifest‘ Season 3.
‘Manifest’ followed a turbulent but routine flight of the crew and passengers of Flight 828. However, when they disembarked they found the world had aged five-and-a-half years and their friends, families and colleagues had given up hope of ever seeing them again. Faced with the impossible, the passengers’ dreams of a second chance at life evaporated as they encounter the imminent danger surrounding them, both tangible and unexplained. But as their new realities become clear, a deeper mystery unfolds, and some of the returned passengers soon realise they might be meant for something greater than they ever thought possible.
In the opening episode of Season 3, Ben (Josh Dallas) heads on an international mission with Vance (Daryl Edwards) to seek a clue in hopes of finally unlocking the mystery of Flight 828. An intense calling leads newlyweds Michaela (Melissa Roxburgh) and Zeke (Matt Long) on an adventure of their own. A guilt-ridden Saanvi (Parveen Kaur) attempts to forget her past sins by starting a new chapter. Jared’s (J. R. Ramirez) interest is piqued by an intriguing stranger.
Unfortunately, this looks to be the final season of ‘Manifest’, after NBC cancelled the drama last month. Various attempts were made to rescue the series, including some in depths conversations with Netflix where the show was sat at the top of their streaming charts. However, it was ultimately decided they couldn’t make the numbers work for it to be viable to continue.
Creator and showrunner Jeff Rake had planned out a six-season arc, meaning there is a lot of potential story left to tell. Rake has since said he is looking into the possibilities of making a movie to wrap up the plotlines, or possibly a book to give fans some closure, but we’ll have to wait and see if anything emerges.
