‘Tiger King 2’ Gets November Premiere Date On Netflix

by Dave Elliott

Get ready to embrace the madness once more, as Netflix announces the return of Tiger King for Season 2 this November.

Among the eccentrics and cult personalities in the stranger-than-fiction world of big cat owners, few stand out more than Joe Exotic, a mulleted, gun-toting polygamist and country-western singer who presided over an Oklahoma roadside zoo. Charismatic but misguided, Joe and an unbelievable cast of characters including drug kingpins, conmen, and cult leaders all shared a passion for big cats, and the status and attention their dangerous menageries garner. But things took a dark turn when Carole Baskin, an animal activist and owner of a big cat sanctuary, threatened to put them out of business, stoking a rivalry that eventually led to Joe’s arrest for a murder-for-hire plot, and revealed a twisted tale where the only thing more dangerous than a big cat is its owner.

The first season became a global hit, which attracted 64 million households in the first four weeks after its March 2020 premiere. The second season promises more madness and more mayhem… They’ve only scratched the surface…

Eric Goode and Rebecca Chaiklin direct the second season, with Chris Smith, Fisher Stevens, Eric Goode, and Rebecca Chaiklin as Executive Producers. The series comes from A Goode Films Production in association with Library Films and Article 19 Films.

Tiger King‘ Season 2 premieres Wednesday, 17th November 2021 on Netflix UK and worldwide.
