‘Mythic Quest’: Apple TV+ Renews The Utterly Brilliant Video Game Comedy For Seasons 3 & 4!
Apple TV+ has renewed the utterly hilarious video game comedy series ‘Mythic Quest‘ for 3rd AND 4th Seasons it has been announced. The news was revealed by star and co-creator Rob McElhenney in a “video call” with… Sir Anthony Hopkins?..
Season 1 introduced us to the team behind the biggest multiplayer video game of all time. But in a workplace focused on building worlds, moulding heroes, and creating legends, the most hard-fought battles don’t occur in the game… they happen in the office.
Alongside McElhenney, the series stars Charlotte Nicdao as Poppy, David Hornsby as David, Ashly Burch as Rachel, Imani Hakim as Dana, Danny Pudi as Brad, Jessie Ennis as Jo, and F. Murray Abraham as C.W.
The renewal news came in the form of a video call between star/co-creator Rob McElhenney and Sir Anthony Hopkins, who provided the voice of the narrator in one of the Season 2 episodes… not that he seems to remember… Then the call is interrupted by the multi-Emmy-winning ‘Ted Lasso’ co-creator/star, Jason Sudeikis.

“Just like critics and audiences all over the world, we fell in love with Rob and his team’s sharp writing and full-of-heart, relatable characters that make up the world of ‘Mythic Quest,’” commented Matt Cherniss, head of programming for Apple TV+. “We can’t wait for viewers to see what’s in store in the upcoming seasons of this brilliant workplace comedy.”
Given where we left things at the end of the second season, things could be somewhat different when we return (SPOILERS for the Season 2 finale!) – Ian and Poppy had resigned and formed a new company, realising they’d taken ‘Mythic Quest’ as far as they could. Meanwhile, Dana was heading to programming school, Rachel was off to start her writing program at Berkeley, and Brad was heading to jail for insider trading, having taken the fall for Jo! I’m really excited to see if/how they pull the team back together!
