‘The Book of Boba Fett’: Disney+ Releases Trailer & Key Art Premiering December

by Dave Elliott

Disney+ has released the trailer and key art for the highly-anticipated Star Wars series The Book of Boba Fett, which premieres 29th December on the streaming service.

‘The Book of Boba Fett’, a thrilling Star Wars adventure teased in a surprise end-credit sequence following the Season 2 finale of ‘The Mandalorian’, finds legendary bounty hunter Boba Fett and mercenary Fennec Shand navigating the Galaxy’s underworld when they return to the sands of Tatooine to stake their claim on the territory once ruled by Jabba the Hutt and his crime syndicate.

The series stars Temuera Morrison as the titular bounty hunter and Ming-Na Wen returning to the role of Fennec Shand. No other casting has been announced at this point, although, as you can see from the trailer, there are a number of other people in the cast, mostly under heavy prosthetics!

A few other things to note in the trailer. That spider-looking thing at the start of the trailer is a B’omarr monk, a religious order that believed in isolating themselves from all physical sensations to enhance the power of their minds, meaning brains transplanted into nutrient-filled jars which are carried around by spider-like droid walkers. We also see an Ithorian in there, along with a group of other underworld alien figures.

Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, Robert Rodriguez, Kathleen Kennedy and Colin Wilson are the executive producers. Karen Gilchrist and Carrie Beck serve as co-executive producers, with John Bartnicki producing and John Hampian as co-producer.

The Book of Boba Fett‘ will premiere on Wednesday, 29th December 2021, exclusively on Disney+ worldwide.
