‘Star Wars: Ahsoka’: Natasha Liu Bordizzo Cast As Sabine Wren

Upcoming series Star Wars: Ahsoka has added ‘The Society’ star Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren according to reports.

After making her long-awaited, live-action debut in ‘The Mandalorian’, the new limited series will continue Ahsoka Tano’s story, written by Dave Filoni, and starring Rosario Dawson, with Filoni and Jon Favreau exec producing. No further information has been released about the series, because… Disney… and Star Wars…

However, Deadline is reporting that Natasha Liu Bordizzo has landed the role of Sabine Wren, one of the main characters from Filoni’s ‘Star Wars Rebels’ animated series, who will join Ahsoka in making her live-action debut. For those of you trying to remember where we left things, Sabine was last seen at the end of ‘Rebels’ alongside Ahsoka as the pair set off on a quest to find Ezra Bridger, who disappeared in the finale when he used Purrgils (aka “space whales”) to fling himself and Grand Admiral Thrawn into the Unknown Regions.

Whilst we know nothing of the plot of the series, the news of Sabine appearing in live-action does bring up the tantalising possibility we may not only also see a live-action Ezra, but also a live-action Thrawn. However, we will have to wait and see…

Bordizzo previously starred in Netflix series ‘The Society’, and the Netflix movie ‘Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny.’ She also popped up in the Quibi (now Roku) series ‘Most Dangerous Game’, and the wonderfully bonkers film ‘Guns Akimbo’ opposite Daniel Radcliffe.

‘Ahsoka’ is set to begin filming in March 2022, and is also expected that Hayden Christensen will reprise his role as Anakin Skywalker (and/or Darth Vader), Ahsoka’s former Jedi Master.

Star Wars: Ahsoka‘ does not yet have a premiere date, but if you want to keep track of this or any other show, you can add it via our Never Miss system, and you’ll be notified when it gets a UK premiere date.
