‘Discovery of Witches’: 3rd & Final Season January UK Premiere On Sky Max & NOW
‘A Discovery of Witches‘ 3rd and final season has been given a January 2022 UK premiere date on Sky Max and NOW the UK broadcaster has announced.
In the third and final instalment of this adaptation of Deborah Harkness’ All Souls trilogy, vampire Matthew (Matthew Goode) and witch Diana (Teresa Palmer) return from 1590 to find tragedy at Sept-Tours. They must find the missing pages from the Book of Life and the Book itself before it’s too late, but a monster from Matthew’s past is lying in wait for his return.
In the opening episode, Matthew and Diana return from Elizabethan London to discover a chaotic scene. Peter Knox’s attack has left Em dead and Sept-Tours in shock. But amongst the darkness comes unexpected news – Diana is carrying twins.
The series features a strong ensemble cast including Matthew Goode, Teresa Palmer, Owen Teale, Malin Buska, Alex Kingston, Aiysha Hart, Edward Bluemel, Lindsay Duncan, Peter McDonald, Trevor Eve, Gregg Chillin, Adelle Leonce, Tanya Moodie, Daniel Ezra, Toby Regbo, Steven Cree, Jacob Ifan, Ivanno Jeremiah, Greg McHugh, Olivier Huband, Paul Rhys and Parker Sawyers. A Discovery of Witches Season 3 is based on the ‘The Book of Life’ novel from Deborah Harkness’s bestselling All Souls trilogy and is the third and final instalment.
‘A Discovery of Witches’ is a Sky Original series and was commissioned by Zai Bennett, Managing Director of Content, Sky UK. Kara Manley is the executive producer for Sky Studios and the show is made by Bad Wolf. Executive Producers for Bad Wolf are Lachlan MacKinnon, Jane Tranter, Deborah Harkness, Lisa Holdsworth, Helen Raynor.
The show is produced by Edoardo Ferretti, directed by Jamie Donoughue and Debs Paterson and written by Lisa Holdsworth, Helen Raynor, Michelle Gayle, Christopher Cornwell, Matt Evans. NBCUniversal Global Distribution will handle international sales of the series on behalf of Sky Studios.
‘A Discovery of Witches‘ Seasons 1 & 2 are available to catch up via Sky On Demand and on NOW, with Season 3 premiering on Friday, 7th January 2022 at 9pm on Sky Max & NOW. Season 3 debuts January 8, 2022, on Sundance Now, Shudder and AMC+ in the USA.
