‘The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’ Renewed For 5th & Final Season
The day before Season 4 premieres on Prime Video, the streaming service has announced ‘The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel‘ has been renewed for a 5th and final season.
The series, from Amy Sherman-Palladino and Daniel Palladino, stars Rachel Brosnahan as Miriam ‘Midge’ Maisel, a 1958 New York City woman, who discovers she has a talent for stand-up comedy. The fourth season begins tomorrow, and the fifth and final season is currently filming in New York.

In Season 1 we saw Midge finding her feet on stage. Season 2 saw her climb up the comedy ladder, but the grind of being a comic began to take its toll, as she has to come clean to her family. If you remember where we left things in Season 3, Midge had landed a tour with star famous Shy Baldwin (Leroy McClain). Whilst things started off well, her decision to make a few jokes at Shy’s expense did not go down well with the singer’s no-nonsense manager Reggie (Sterling K. Brown), and he boots her from the tour…
As we head into Season 4, it’s 1960 and change is in the air. Looking to hone her act, Midge finds a gig with total creative freedom. But her commitment to her craft – and the places it takes her – creates a rift between her and the family and friends around her. The edgy, uncompromising, and hilarious new season includes guest appearances from Kelly Bishop, Milo Ventimiglia, John Waters and Jason Alexander.
